Birthday weekend

We spent the weekend in Napa to celebrate CW's birthday. Adair surprised with an overnight stay in Yountville, and dinner at Bouchon. It was wonderful - a very memorable weekend. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Tench for watching Alex Saturday night!

I'm not sure, but Alex might have been watching The Shining when this pic was taken.

Cousins and carrots. Smiles and sweaters.

Alex received his cousin Sadie's birth announcement, and was so thrilled he figured he'd just take a bite. Or two.

Speaking of biting, he has taken a definite liking to carrots. It is the only food he can't get enough of - fruits he is only so-so with (apples he appears to definitely DISLIKE) - is this really my son? Apples are one of the perfect foods!

We've included a shot of Alex in a handsome hand-knit sweater from grandma Margie. It looks great on him, and there is room to grow! Thanks grandma!
Speaking of which, we are making a trip to Denver to visit Mom and Bob and Brooke and Tim and Abby and (great) grandma Adams next month - can't wait.
And we are heading up to Napa this weekend to see Grandma and Grandpa Tench at the Farm - can't wait!
